Ding Dong Snack Mix: A Pinoy Treat Grabbed on Our Ottawa Photo Trip

My family and I love snapping photos on Ontario road trips, and grabbing Ding Dong Snack Mix in Ottawa was a crunchy highlight of our adventure. We picked up this Pinoy treat while stopping at Parliament Hill to shoot blog photos, its savory mix perfect for a quick break by the greenery. We paused to munch, taking photos and savoring the sarap. Here’s why Ding Dong is a must for Filipino-Canadian travelers.

We found the Ding Dong package in Ottawa, a sari-sari store treasure.

The Ding Dong package sits on our table, ready for our Parliament Hill snack.

The mix looked so tempting in a bowl beside the pack.

A bowl of Ding Dong snack mix next to the package, bursting with Pinoy crunch.

We spread some out, a tidy but messy pile to enjoy.

Ding Dong mix scattered near the package, savory and inviting on the table.

Made by Monde Nissin in the Philippines, Ding Dong mixes peanuts, corn bits, green peas, cracker nuts, and fava beans for a light, crunchy snack. It’s a Filipino favorite, budget-friendly at Ottawa’s Asian markets, but has peanuts, soy, and wheat, so I gave my kids a small handful. This meryenda added fun to our photo stop at Parliament Hill.

Ding Dong’s a tasty snack for Pinoy families exploring Ontario. Want more outdoor moments? Check out my YouTube playlist, “Ontario Bird Feeder Vlogs,” for 5-minute clips of backyard birds and feeder fun.
